GitHub Integration
- Add GitHub full repository name in the form "owner/repo".
- Make sure the Relio GitHub App was granted access to the repository - navigate to your GitHub repo and open "Settings" then to "GitHub Apps". If you see Relio GitHub App in the "Installed GitHub Apps" list, it means the app has access to the repository.
- Validate configuration by clicking "Validate".
- Save your configuration once validated.
Jira Integration
- Add Jira project key or board id - it can be found in the Jira console by navigating to the space settings and selecting "Space key", the unique key used to identify a space.
- Validate configuration by clicking "Validate".
- Save your configuration once validated.
Slack Integration
- Add Slack channel to the input field (e.g. "my-channel").
- Make sure Relio Slack App is added to "my-channel" - in the channel you can type /invite and then click "Add apps to this channel" - in the dropdown list the Relio Slack App should be available to be added to the channel. If you don't see the Relio Slack App in the list, reinstall the app from "Installations" tab.
- Validate configuration by clicking "Validate" - if the Relio Slack App was properly authorized and added to the channel, this step will not cause errors.
- Save your configuration once validated.
Agent Communication
The agent communicates in the Slack channel configured on the project’s Integrations page. You can ask questions or trigger actions from Slack using Relio Slack App and replies stay in-thread for context.
Available Actions
Note: The agent can only perform implemented actions. Check tools for the exact tools and capabilities enabled in your deployment.
Examples
- Detect blockers and issues prior to project deadline
- Reprioritize Jira backlog
- Create a weekly status summary
- Create a daily digest
- Assign Github issue number k to the user username
- Summarize recent activity for this project
- Summarize open PRs
- Summarize recent Jira activity for this project
The agent uses your saved project settings to scope responses and actions. After confirming the context of your request and identifying available steps, it generates a workflow and posts it in the Slack thread. To run it, reply "Execute" in the thread; to keep refining, continue the conversation. To cancel the thread, type "Cancel".
Your Daily Workflow
Morning: Daily Standup
The agent sends a daily standup summary to your Slack channel with a status update on your plan's progress.
Throughout the Day: Real-time Updates
Chat with the agent in your Slack channel for on-demand updates, summaries of GitHub and Jira activity, and quick lists of PRs, issues, or tasks - any project activity you need, when you need it.
End of Week: Executive Summary
A comprehensive weekly report is generated with progress, blockers, risks, and stakeholder-ready highlights.
Tips & Best Practices
- 💡Be specific with plan descriptions: The more context you provide, the better the AI can help.
- 💡Review daily summaries: Use these to catch issues early and stay aligned with your team.
- 💡Keep integrations updated: If your tools change or team members are added, update your integrations.
- 💡Use feedback to improve: Rate summaries and provide feedback to help the agent learn your preferences.
